Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Current, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Current is a daily time-blocking planner for iOS. The App allows you to create, organize, and manage your daily schedule. The App can be used without creating an account (local-only mode) or with an optional account for cross-device sync. Some features are available for free; additional features are available through a paid subscription ("Current Pro").

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Current. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Account and Authentication

Creating an account is optional. Current offers account creation through Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email magic link for the purpose of syncing your data across devices. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Current Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and policies.

• Pricing: Current Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
• Free trial: A 7-day free trial may be offered on the annual plan. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice to you.

6. User Content

Any data you create within Current (tasks, schedules, templates, etc.) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your content. If you use the sync feature, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the sync service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.

7. Account Deletion

If you have created an account, you can delete it at any time from within the App (Settings > Account > Delete Account). Upon deletion:

• Your account credentials are permanently removed.
• Your synced data is removed from our servers. Some anonymised data and transaction records retained by Apple may persist as required by applicable law.
• Your local data remains on your device until you remove the App.
• Any active subscription must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID account settings; deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Use automated means to access the App beyond its intended functionality

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of Current is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy. You may opt out of analytics data collection at any time via the in-app settings.

11. Third-Party Services

Current integrates with third-party services including Apple Calendar (EventKit), Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Supabase (cloud sync), PostHog (analytics), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third parties' terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Current is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Current is a planning tool — we are not responsible for missed appointments, scheduling errors, or any consequences arising from reliance on the App.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of scheduled appointments, or business interruption, whether based in warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, 9, 12, and 13) will survive.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applicable in the Emirate of Dubai. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai (excluding the Dubai International Financial Centre courts).
